Hello everyone! Some of you may be asking, “How are Professional Vision & ZEISS connected to Hot August Music Festival? First I’d like to thank ZEISS for their support in sponsorship with the Professional Vision Stage. One of Dr. Barnstein's passions outside of the eye care field is music, & live music in particular.
Hot August Music Festival takes place on Saturday August 16th at Oregon Ridge Park in Cockeysville, MD.(Just 5 miles away from our Timonium office!) We’ve been fortunate to develop a friendship with the heads of the festival, Brad and Tricia Selko, where we’ve joined them in helping to make this the best one day music festival in the region! (Voted by Tri State Indie a few years back)
The spectacular lineup fuels this year’s excitement about the event, which will draw well over 5,000 attendees. Old Crow Medicine Show, Nickel Creek, and Dr. Dog are the big name attractions to this year’s event. Headlining the Professional Vision ZEISS Stage are GRAMMY nominated songwriter/blues guitarist Tab Benoit, & the 9 piece Brooklyn Power Funk band, Turkuaz. The lineup also includes Houndmouth, Sister Sparrow & the Dirty Birds, ELM, Cabinet, Bosley, Jordan August Band, The Solicitors, & Ursula Ricks.
The festival features kids drum circles, kids harmonica workshops, & adult drum circles from BEATWELL. Kids 12 & under free! Proper Playground Clothing Co. will host fashion events, with additional aerial and artistic acts. We’re also thrilled to have Towson University’s WTMD 89.7, as the presenting radio station. Over 200 residents from the area help to run this magical one day event! We're very grateful that Professional Vision can be part of such a special local music festival!
